Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement care plans under the supervision of senior nursing staff.
- Monitor Patient Status: Continuously observe vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Assist with Procedures: Support physicians during examinations, treatments, and invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Document Patient Data: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with Care Teams: Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate Patients & Families: Provide clear instructions regarding discharge plans, medications, and post-care activities.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and nursing protocols.
Qualifications
- Active RN License: A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Georgia.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN) with a focus on patient care.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and computer-based charting systems.
- Professionalism: Strong ethical standards, empathy, and a desire to learn and grow within a clinical setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the role.
