Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and alert physicians to any changes in condition.
- Document patient care services accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficiency in using computerized medical equipment and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
