Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and clinical notes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Assist the healthcare team with procedures, patient transport, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency codes and assist in trauma situations as needed.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients by maintaining a clean and organized unit.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred, but training provided).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced team setting.
- Compassionate demeanor and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
