Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through comprehensive physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, documenting all changes immediately.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care with other departments.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and electronic health documentation.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
