Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and changes in condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure continuity of care during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) Certified Nursing Assistant license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
