Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) accurately and discreetly.
- Respond immediately to patient call lights and emergency situations, ensuring patient safety.
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized patient room environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the RN/LPN on shift immediately.
- Document all patient care activities and observations accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma State CNA License (or enrollment in an accredited CNA program).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (12-hour shifts) on a consistent basis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist patients up to 250 lbs.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is highly preferred.
