Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Monitor patient health status, record vital signs, and report changes to the medical team promptly.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and patient crises.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a primary advocate for patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity during their stay.
- Teaching & Support: Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ASN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Texas.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Experience: Previous clinical experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
