Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and mental conditions.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Vital Signs & Observations: Accurately measure and record vital signs and patient responses to treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist with code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred, ADN acceptable).
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients and families.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
