Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, strictly adhering to safety protocols and standing orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, reporting significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Document all patient care activities, interventions, and responses to therapy in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Arizona (or compact state eligibility).
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred for entry-level candidates).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and electronic health record systems.
