Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs by gathering data, physical exams, and reviewing medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following strict safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and healing environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Current, unencumbered New York State RN License.
- CPR (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred for critical care units.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional ethics.
