Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients to determine nursing care needs.
- Care Implementation: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, patient charts, and medication logs.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess a valid RN license from the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Experience: New graduate or equivalent experience required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
