Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assess patient health issues and needs, develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress and outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols and legal regulations.
- Critical Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, pain levels, and physical condition to detect any changes that require immediate medical attention.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation for all assigned patients.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas (TX).
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
