Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and treatments accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
