Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Crisis Management: Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies and acute patient changes.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois (IL RN License required).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Diploma graduates considered.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical facility setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
