Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care: Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, charts, and reports in compliance with hospital standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to critical situations and emergency calls, demonstrating clinical judgment and composure.
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN License: Active and in good standing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Critical Thinking: Strong ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
