Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on physical, psychological, social, and cultural needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Medical-Surgical preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
