Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor vital signs and medical charts to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide immediate intervention when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
