Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, accurately and timely.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with transfers, walking, and positioning to prevent falls and ensure safety.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition, pain levels, or concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain patient hygiene and ensure the patient room environment is clean and safe.
- Documentation: Complete necessary documentation and charting accurately as per facility policy.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs; physical stamina for prolonged standing and walking.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (various shifts available).
