Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring ethical considerations and patient rights are upheld.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited institution; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinicals encouraged to apply).
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work full-time, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
