Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and surgical services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress accurately
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment protocols, and preventive care
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to unit-based training programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts (or compact state license)
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in relevant specialty
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; specialty certifications preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education
