Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, escalating concerns to the charge nurse or provider immediately.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient care and HIPAA compliance.
