Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with medical orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions, alerting physicians immediately to any changes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (new graduates with excellent clinical rotations will be considered).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as required by the job description.
- Commitment to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
