Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Provide basic bedside care to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Certification as a CNA (or completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
