Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic bedside care to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certification as a CNA (or completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse healthcare team.
