Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, and physical appearance to the RN or supervisor.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely in and out of bed, wheelchairs, or walkers, ensuring proper body mechanics.
- Administer Medications: Assist with the administration of medications as directed by licensed staff, following strict safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document vital signs, fluid intake/output, and patient interactions in electronic health records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification (or enrollment in a state-approved CNA program with graduation date) is highly preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to use charting software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Soft Skills: Compassionate nature, patience, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
