Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Monitor and document patient progress using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge protocols
- Adhere to JCAHO standards, HIPAA regulations, and infection control protocols
- Participate in rapid response teams and emergency care interventions
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (or compact license with immediate TX application)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; PALS preferred for ER roles
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (new graduates welcome with preceptorship)
- BSN preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and point-of-care documentation
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities for patient/family interactions
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
