Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to strict hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient condition immediately to the charge nurse or medical staff.
- Provide clear and compassionate education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient encounters and care provided.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Medical-Surgical preferred).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
