Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on clinical findings.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to strict hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure continuity of care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to promote better health outcomes.
- Crisis Management: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide critical care support during high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Adaptability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by patient needs.
