Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms and vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for holistic care planning
- Document patient assessments and progress accurately in EMR
- Provide patient education on cardiac conditions and preventive care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license required
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
