Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital protocols
- Provide patient education on disease management and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (or compact license with CA endorsement)
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience with strong ER/ICU background
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Electronic Health Records proficiency (EPIC experience preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated patient advocacy
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
