Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans, and monitor patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Document patient care services using electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in code blue or other critical events.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (New graduates with excellent clinical rotations considered).
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
