Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs, health status, and response to interventions, documenting changes accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly desired.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) required based on unit assignment.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
