Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions based on established standards of care.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress while responding immediately to clinical emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient management and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, discharge instructions, and health promotion strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to strict regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or Diploma).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Louisiana (or eligible for licensure).
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to provide high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
