Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control and safety standards.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid and active RN license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
