Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms to detect changes in health status.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient medical histories, symptoms, reactions, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Respond to medical emergencies with speed and precision.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
