Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and lab results, responding promptly to any changes in clinical status.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to a positive, teamwork-oriented unit culture.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure during night shift hours.
