Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs and clinical status throughout the night shift.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols with precision.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, physicians, and patients/families to ensure continuity of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) detailing patient conditions and interventions.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations using your advanced nursing skills.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patient safety and comfort, ensuring a healing environment.
Qualifications
- License: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Shift Preference: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (12-hour shifts).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
