Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, alerting physicians immediately to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all patient encounters, assessments, and interventions.
- Provide compassionate patient education and act as a strong advocate for patient needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety rounds to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant clinical experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical demands of the nursing role.
