Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities, clinical findings, and responses to treatment with precision and timeliness.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
