Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and mental health needs to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and progress notes.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment by adhering to safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
