Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient progress to identify changes in condition.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient charts and incident reports.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members regarding care status.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent nursing experience preferred (new grads welcome with appropriate training).
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
