Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities or changes in condition immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Respond to medical emergencies and administer emergency care when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- BSN preferred, but Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing accepted.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
