Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health, symptoms, and vital signs to identify changes in medical status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and nursing protocols.
- Document patient care activities, charting, and medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and aftercare instructions.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist in rapid response team activations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, BSN, or Diploma) or recent nursing graduate.
- Valid RN, LPN, or LVN license in the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
