Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed practitioners.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and condition, and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for most specialties.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
