Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, documenting all changes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits as required.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining a high standard of patient safety.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR) and computer skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
