Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and discharge plans.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
