Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document all treatments accurately.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities and provide emotional support.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA Certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic.
