Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily progress reports accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA license in the State of Michigan.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
