As a Registered Nurse in our Remote Care division, you will play a pivotal role in patient health management without the constraints of a traditional bedside setting. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where every nurse can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive remote patient assessments and monitor vital signs through secure telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical guidelines and physician orders.
- Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding medications, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and escalations via secure messaging channels.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance audits specific to remote nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strict adherence to hospital protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and telehealth communication tools.
