Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, documenting all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to resolve patient care issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (or compact state eligibility).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for critical care roles.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as an RN (new graduates with exceptional credentials will be considered).
- Strong computer proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
