Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop individualized care plans tailored to specific medical needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any deviations or changes to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and crises, demonstrating critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred (Medical-Surgical or Telemetry experience a plus).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
